You pay by credit card at checkout. Your card is saved securely for automatic renewal, and you can update or remove it any time in your portal under Billing. You can bill monthly or annually, and annual billing includes one month free.

Yes, for free. If your current host uses cPanel or DirectAdmin, we'll move your website files, databases and email accounts for you. Keep your old hosting active while we copy and test the new site to help reduce disruption. Just open a support request from your portal to get started; please don't send passwords by email. Sites built on Wix, Squarespace, Shopify or similar website builders can't be transferred because those platforms don't allow exporting, so they would need to be rebuilt. Migrations are done on a best-effort basis.

We move your email accounts to HostMoose along with your website. During the DNS transition (usually 24-48 hours), you might receive emails at both the old and new servers, so keep access to both until the transition is complete.

No! Keep your old hosting active until we've successfully migrated everything and you've verified it all works. Once you're happy with everything on HostMoose, then you can cancel your old host. This helps reduce the risk of downtime or data loss.

No. If you don't have a domain yet, you can register a .ca, .com, .net or .org name with us at checkout, or checkout creates a temporary one so your account is ready right away and you can add your own later. Domain registrations and transfers are non-refundable, except that we refund you in full if we can't complete them. We can also help you point a domain you already own to our servers.

Canadian hosting lets you choose where your website content is stored and work with a Canadian provider. HostMoose stores hosted website files, databases, email and backups in Montreal, with support from Calgary. Speed also depends on your site and visitors; Canadian hosting does not by itself make all information immune to foreign laws.

Yes. New customers get 50% off your first month when billing monthly, or 50% off your first year when billing annually. After that, your plan renews at the regular price: $10/mo for Lite, $18/mo for Standard and $32/mo for Essentials.

Yes. Choose annual billing at checkout and you pay for 11 months and get the 12th free: $110/year for Lite, $198/year for Standard and $352/year for Essentials, before the introductory offer. Annual billing also locks in your rate for the year.

You can cancel anytime—no contracts or cancellation penalties. Send a support request from your portal or email support@hostmoose.ca before your renewal date. Cancelling stops your next renewal, and your service continues until the end of the term you've already paid for unless you ask us to end it sooner. Cancellation does not automatically entitle you to a refund; refunds are subject to our Refund Policy. We can also help you migrate to another host if needed.

Every hosting plan comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not happy within your first 30 days, contact us and we'll refund your hosting fees. The guarantee applies to hosting fees for first-time accounts.

If a payment fails, we try your card again up to 3 more times and email you. If the invoice is still unpaid 7 days after its due date, your service is suspended (your site and email go offline until you pay), and we email you. About a week before the end we warn you again. If it is still unpaid 30 days after the due date, the service is cancelled and your data is deleted, and we can't get it back.

Lite: 1 website. Standard: up to 3 websites. Essentials: up to 10 websites.

Lite includes 5 email accounts and 5 forwarders, Standard includes 15 accounts and 15 forwarders, and Essentials includes unlimited accounts and forwarders (hello@yourbusiness.ca, support@yourbusiness.ca, and so on). Mailboxes include spam filtering and work with Outlook, the Gmail app, iPhone mail, etc. Fair usage applies—if you're sending thousands of emails daily, we'll chat about options.

Yes! You can use any domain you own. We'll help you point your domain to our servers, whether it's a .ca, .com, or any other extension.

Yes. You can run PHP/MySQL applications, static HTML sites, or other platforms. Essentials also includes Laravel support and the Joomla and AbanteCart installers.

Free SSL (HTTPS) certificates are included on all plans and renew automatically. They give you the padlock in browsers and are essential for SEO and customer trust.
